Registration for the Wonder Club is Closed for the Year
But don’t be sad. I have loads of other classes and programs coming in the future.
If you’d like to stay in the loop, just sign up for my Field Notes newsletter and you’ll be the first to know about new offerings.
The Wonder Club is a private club and community created with a singularly delightful mission:
to keep your creative magic and sense of wonder sparkling every day.
I first opened the doors to the Wonder Club in January 2018, and oh my has it ever been an amazing year so far. We are honestly having a blast and the Wonder Sisterhood has become something far greater and richer than I ever could have imagined.
Slowing down to the speed of wonder
In The Wonder Club, we’re journeying together through the Wheel of the Year, and connecting to the delights, wisdom, and energies of each month and season. We’re on a wonder mission to seek out the extraordinary in the ordinary. We’re intentionally romancing the enchantment that surrounds and lives within us, and savoring the mystery, magic, creative inspiration, and wonder of it all.
Be assured, that everything in The Wonder Club is designed to weave easily into a busy life, not overwhelm it. We all have our personal lives, loved ones, and work that fill much of our days, and have more adventures and new learning we’re planning for the coming months. The Wonder Club is intentionally crafted to support you in your life and all that you do by keeping you deliciously connected to your creativity, spirit, dreams, and seasonal rhythms. It’s a restorative respite from “the world that is,” a safe, inspiring space that brings you home to your heart and magic again and again throughout the months.
When we have regular touch points of positive energy, inspiration, Mama Nature, and a sisterhood
of kindred spirits, we feel more grounded, supported, and connected to our own creative magic.
We also need reminders to slow down at times, lather on exquisite self-care, rest, and refill our wells. Our creativity and magic can’t sparkle and flow when the well has run dry. Aligning with the energies and magic of Mama Nature’s cycles and rhythms through the seasons helps us to find a more natural balance among all aspects of our lives.
What You Receive
Wonder Club Special Deliveries
Four times each month, you’ll receive fresh online deliveries of club materials. Yep, as a Wonder Club member, you’ll receive a steady infusion of enchantment, inspiration, adventures, tools, and resources. Included are downloadables and printables to spark your imagination and bring along on all your wonder-making adventures. You receive an email on those days I post new material in our private Wonder Club membership area (typically on the 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd).
Monthly Themes to Enrich Your Days
We’re connecting with each season’s energies and gifts, month-by-month, with enchantment and wonder as our guides. There’s a delicious sense of deep belonging, delight, and grounding that comes when we connect with the present moment, commune with Mama Nature, and drop into the rich energies of the season. We’re going to woo it all and ourselves with a sense of adventure and wonder.
Field Guides to Wonder
These richly illustrated guides provide the heart and soul of our adventure through each month’s theme. You’ll find a variety of essays, inspiration, practices, sweet rituals, engaging invitations, and other goodness to keep your heart smiling and your creative spirit glowing. The Field Guides are downloadable PDF files, which means you can peruse them on your computer or mobile device with ease, or print them out to take along on your adventures in the wild (and not-quite-so-wild) places of the world.
Videocasts & the Wonder Podcast
Each month, I share a new video (often two!) and a new audio about the month’s theme and energies, as well as inspiration and invitations for ways to weave it all into your days. Think relaxing chats over a cuppa and you’ve got the idea.
Inspiration for Your Creative Spirit
Two of our primary wonder-making tools for The Wonder Club are our Wonder Year Books and spirited collages we craft with our hearts, hands, and creative spirit. Our Wonder Year Books are our devoted adventure companions and treasure chests where we gather, muse, create, and make magic until they’re full to bursting. Each month, I provide prompts, invitations, and inspiration for filling your Wonder Year Book with your beautiful gatherings, musings, wisdom, discoveries, creations, insights, and more.
PSA: Should you be feeling artistically nervous, let me assure you that you do NOT need any special arts or crafts skills for The Wonder Club. This is about exploration and discovery, and the sheer joy of bringing intention and creativity together in easy and inspiring ways. It has nothing at all to do with prior experience, skill, or perfection. You’ll be fine, I promise. Pinky swear.
Safe Space & Sisterhood
We have our own private Facebook group (AKA, the Wonder Lodge) where we share our adventures, laugh, swap stories, inspire, and support each other. I provide prompts and inspiration along the way and dive into the conversations and sharing right along with you. With the Wonder Club ongoing until the end of the year, it means we can stay wonderfully connected for the months to come! One of the things I hear the most when a six-week course I offer ends is that we don’t want the cozy safe space, conversations, and enchanting sisterhood in our Facebook group to end. Now it doesn’t have to!
As with all my classes and programs, links for delightful resources and new discoveries are flying constantly. I gather all that goodness into Wonder Resources Round-Up PDFs with live links to share with you, so you can have it all together in one place. Yum.
Surprises & Special Member Benefits
I have a few delightful surprises for Wonder Club members up my sleeve and I can’t wait to share them with you. Why not tell you about them now? Well, because that pretty much defeats the whole “surprise” thing, don’t you think? Nope, you’ll just have to wait and see (*she rubs her hands together gleefully*). They are delivered when you least expect them, and that’s a big part of the fun.
A Private Members-Only Area of The Mojo Lab
I wanted our Wonder Club Member area to be cozy, welcoming, easy to navigate, and beautiful. So, I created a secret area here on The Mojo Lab website that’s only accessible to our members. Hosting The Wonder Club here instead of the teaching platform I use for most of my classes gives me a lot more creative freedom, clever features, and design flexibility. I think you’re going to love it.
A Special Welcome & Orientation for New Members
Since you’ll be joining us mid-year, I’ve created a special space for you in our private membership area. I opened access to the new member area on the Summer Solstice, June 21st, to give you some time to explore and settle in before your membership officially begins on July 1st. Here you’ll find the Welcome & Orientation materials and several additional goodies I’m offering new members to help you get and started and feel right at home. These include a special Field Guide for prepping and setting up your Wonder Year Book, A Field Guide to the Wheel of the Year, and several other delightful surprises that will help you to step into our club adventures right where we are with comfort and ease.
Why Create The Wonder Club?
Have you ever noticed how quickly things go back to the “status quo” soon after an inspiring book, class, workshop, or retreat you’ve taken ends? While we’re immersed in the experience, everything is alight with new possibility, insight, and inspiration. Our whole lives take on the glow of those new connections, learning, growth, and experiences.
We don’t want the magic to ever end.
But within a few weeks afterward, the pressures of daily life, demands on our time and attention, and the dominating energies of a busy-worshiping, always “on” culture usually take over again. We’re soon back to plodding along through the weekdays, yearning for the weekend so we can simply slow down and catch our breath. Then we find our weekends are just as jammed with everything we weren’t able to squeeze into the week. Even with the best of intentions, it can be hard to keep your creative magic shining in the bustle of everyday life.
Believe me, I get it. I lived and trudged along in that groove for way too many years. And I still need gentle reminders and to refresh my practices from time to time to stay aligned with what’s most important to me. We all do.
All of that was on my mind when I issued one of the final invitations to the amazing women in Wonder Camp last summer. The invitation was for each of us (myself included) to follow the sparks of inspiration we’d gathered during Wonder Camp and to choose our next adventure, big or small.
That invitation ignited an idea for me that landed with such certainty and excitement, I knew I was it was exactly what I was meant to do next. The idea has evolved since that first moment, getting juicier and more inspired as I’ve gone along. But the core idea and concept has remained the same: create something special that would help wonder-full, wild-wise women like you keep the creative magic flowing through the seasons.
The question I mulled over is “what would serve you best?” and I reached out to women in my circle. I asked a lot of questions and listened deeply. You asked for more wonder and joy, more inspiration, and more creative exploration. You wanted something longer than a six-week immersive course, something that could be part of your everyday life. You wanted to have safe space to be your beautifully authentic self and connect with kindred spirits. To have something positive and inspiring you can count on to help you stay centered amidst the noise and pace of the fast-paced world we live in. Something light and easy to fit into your life that brings you back to center and yourself regularly. You wanted something that you can look forward to that feels like a delicious gift to yourself.
I heard you and I couldn’t agree more. We all need this.
And so, The Wonder Club was born.
Below you’ll find an overview of the supplies you’ll want for making the most of your adventures in The Wonder Club. This list isn’t exhaustive of all possibilities, but covers the basic essentials. The key here is to stay within your comfort zone. I’m a firm believer in reusing and repurposing as much as we can from what we already have on hand. Should you want to buy a few things, you can certainly keep this very low-cost with a bit of creativity and intention. When you register, you’ll receive an email with a link to a special page with more details about supplies.
Wonder Year Book
Your Wonder Year Book is a key tool you’ll use throughout our time together. You’ll be using it to document your adventures, collect inspiration, gather treasures and wisdom, and make creative magic. You’ll receive suggested options and links to trusted sources for choosing the notebook you’ll use for your Wonder Year Book before we get started.
Craft & Adventure Supplies
Basic creative supplies like tape, a glue stick, scissors, and some magazines for clipping inspiring images will also be handy to have around for working in your Wonder Year Book and making collages. A few extra crafty supplies will make it all the more fun. Things like washi tape, stamps, interesting papers, ephemera, little string-tie envelopes are great options. And don’t forget some color-makers that delight you, such as colored pencils, gel pens, markers, paints (and yes, glitter pens!). Before we get started, I’ll provide you a list of links for some juicy options I love and trust.
Other Helpful Supplies (Totally optional)
If you have a deck of oracle or tarot cards, they’ll come in handy. If you’ve not worked with them before, but are interested in diving in, I encourage you to explore some decks (in person at a store if possible) and pick a deck that includes nature or magical imagery that enchants you. No worries if working with the cards isn’t your thing though. There’s no requirement to do so. I’ll provide some creative ideas and inspiration for those Wonder Sisters who enjoy working with the cards as we go along, but they’re not the focus of our adventures.
We’ll be doing a bit of smudging/energy clearing as well, so a small bundle of sage (or sweetgrass, palo santo, or smudging/clearing material of your choice) and a candle will be helpful to have on hand. Also, a natural faceted quartz crystal will be a lovely support to have along on many of our adventures.
Q&A for the Delightfully Curious
Will The Wonder Club seasonal themes align with both the northern and southern hemispheres?
Unfortunately, no. We’re following the seasons in the Northern Hemisphere where I have my own feet on the ground. I considered opening membership to Sisters in the Southern Hemisphere mid-year, but realized that there was no effective way to do that within the club’s community without splitting into two groups. But no worries, Southern-Hemisphere Sisters! I have other offerings in the works I’ll be unveiling soon that will work well for everyone, regardless of which hemisphere you call home.
Are there any prerequisites to joining?
No, you don’t have to have any previous experience, classes, or skills to fully enjoy The Wonder Club experience. I’ll meet you right where you are, no worries.
Is The Wonder Club different than Wonder Camp?
Oh yes, The Wonder Club is an entirely different program and experience than the six-week Wonder Camp.
Who can join The Wonder Club?
Women 18 years of age and older. Sorry guys! (Maybe I’ll do a program that includes men too at some point, you never know.)
Do I have to be “Artistic” to participate?
Nope, not one bit. We will be doing some magical crafting during Wonder Camp, but rest assured that no special skills, experience, or artistic talents are needed.
What do I need to access The Wonder Club materials?
You’ll need email and high speed internet access with the ability to watch videos and listen to audio files on a computer, tablet, or mobile device. Much of the Wonder Club material (PDF documents and audio files in particular) will be downloadable. Knowing how to download a file and save it (or having someone to help you on your end) will be helpful to get the most of out of our adventures together. You have the choice to simply read the PDF documents on your computer/tablet or you can print them out if you’d like to work with them in hard copy. It’s totally up to you.
Do I have to join the Facebook group?
No, there’s no requirement to join our Facebook group. However, I encourage all members to join in since that’s where our community meets. It’s where the connections, sharing, conversations, and support happens. Most importantly, do what feels right for you.
Will anyone outside of our club be able to see our posts in the Facebook Group?
No. Our Facebook Group is deliciously safe space. It will be a “Closed” group, which means no one outside of our group can see our posts.
How long will I have access to the Wonder Club materials?
The special membership area for the Wonder Club will remain open for a full year after this membership cycle. That means you’ll have access to it all throughout 2019, too.
I’m Victoria Smith, heart whisperer, magical naturalist, hedge-hopper, and the resident wild-wise woman here at The Mojo Lab. I’ll be your wonder guide and trail companion on this adventure.
Before we get started, there are a few things you should probably know about me:
- …in magic, especially the magic we conjure with our creativity and intention.
- …as women we are each gifted with deep inner wisdom, intuition, courage, soft wildness, and a creative spirit.
- …that the built and natural environment around us (our homes, work spaces, towns, and surrounding landscapes) have their own energies that we can work with in creative and powerful ways.
- … connecting with the spirit, energy, and rhythms of Nature is not only satisfying and enriching, it is an essential ingredient for a happy life, a healthy mind and body, rich creativity, and a lively spirit.
- … the key to a satisfying and joyful life is in making our choices based on what makes our souls sing, what nourishes our bodies and spirits, and creative expression.
- …it’s never too late (or too soon) for us to reorient to our True North, rechart our course forward, and make the changes our hearts and souls desire.
Yours in wild wonder and magic,
